Lesson Number 1: Time is of the Essence

So, I keep promising myself that I’m going to spend sometime and make my blog more pretty and professional, but I can’t seem to get a few hours of extra time. Which brings me to my reason for this post. I can not stress enough how important time management is. If you’re anything like me with being a full time student, having a job, a full time internship, and still wanting somewhat of a social life….It. Is. HARD. During the normal school year, I usually live by my planner. I schedule everything I do from the time I wake up, until the time I go to bed. My goal this next school year is to be me more discipline with sticking to my planned schedule everyday. It harder for me in the summer because my daily routine is never the same, so I’m literally all over the place all the time. So lesson number one in being all grown up…..TIME is precious. Use your time wisely. Plan out your schedule. It’s fine to be spontaneous every once in a  whole, but in all honestly, you have to have some kind of structure and stability to set the foundation for how you want to live your life. Even if your schedule isn’t as busy as mine, plan times to do things that make you happy, or make a schedule to see exactly how much time you have to do something you love! Getting organized will be the difference between a well balanced daily schedule, and your mind exploding and you just wanting to give up on life and take a nap. So, in a nutshell, I eill be making a plan for the rest of my week to figure out when I’m going to have time to really focus on my new cool blog, and hopefully I will actually have people start reading it. I’ll be posting cool things on each of my pages too!

My Very First Post!

This site is going to be a helpful support system for girls learning how to survive in the adult world. In a few weeks I will be turning 21 (silent screams because FINALLY!!) and sometimes I find myself a little scared just because I’m still in that awkward phase of my life where some days I want to be mature and independent….and other times I want to be a little brat and presend I have no bills, no college debt, no job, and basically no responsibility at all. I know that I’m not alone, or at least I would hope not because that would make me feel terrible. So, I’m hoping that I find great things to share with other girls like me. Average females who just want to graduate college, be rich, marry Channing Tatum, get paid to go shopping everyday, never have homework, or bills, eat whatever you want, and have flawless hair and skin. But because we know that a lifestyle this fabulous is one that a girl could only dream of, we just want to be happy. And I’m learning that being happy is more important than anything, no matter how old you get.

(Sounds kind of cheesy, but it’s TRUE)
